I think the guy is in his 80’s.
Kind of sad situation, you hate to be “mean”.
But then again, you have to do something.

I hate those situations. I’ve been in a few of them.
It’s like there is no right answer. Then one day they are gone, and all that’s left is the memories.
And you kind of “miss” them being their to mess up your day. Lol

Tough situation but if you're right then him driving worries me. We had to take my father in law's car about 11 years ago (Alzheimer's)

Seriously it is concerning, after l towed that car down to his house today l noticed holes in his yard where he had been stuck too! The Equinox that he had stuck up here the other day is still abandoned in his yard where he got it stuck again right after l dug him out. His Sister In Law lives with him since his Wife passed away, it may be time for her to start taking over driving duties for awhile.

 

I think perhaps you sit the sis in law down (alone) and have a serious talk with her first. This is no joke especially if he hurts or kills someone by accident

 

Busy and interesting day; Something came up with my mechanic and I had to get the oil changed at the dealer...

My truck takes 5.5 quarts, but the tech put in all 6; I found this out when I went back to the service counter asking where extra half quart of oil was...

Drove two miles to friend’s house and we checked the oil, quickly determining that it was overfilled; Called dealer and was told to bring it back. They drained the excess oil and gave me a free quart of Mobil 1 Full Synthetic!

 

The snow has turned these parking spaces near Puck into “Compact Only” spaces...

 

So much snow!

 

This is my 125K mile writeup on my truck; As I’ve said before, my parents bought it brand new back in September 2009, as a gift when I got my license. To date, the most significant parts I’ve had to have replaced are the master cylinder (February 2014; Less than 35K miles), evaporator core (September 2018; 87K miles), and rear axle seal (September 2019; Like 104K miles...?)...

The 2.7L engine has been solid, requiring only oil changes, preventive maintenance, and spark plugs. The transmission has also been solid. My biggest complaint about my truck at the moment is the lousy gas mileage...



I will also be doing writeups at 150K, 175K, and 200K.

 

I’ve been doing a lot of DoorDash in addition to my regular job to make extra money, and as a result I managed to put like 2,000 miles on my truck in February 2021! I just got the oil changed today (about 75 miles shy of 125K), and I’ve been running Mobil 1 Full Synthetic since 84K miles (June 2018).

 

More patches! This was custom-made for me, with the color based on a picture I sent the maker! She only did DCSBs, but it’s still pretty cool nonetheless!

 

Gonna have to add Velcro adhesive to this one...

 

It is also worth noting that I hit 100K back in July 2019 while doing a DoorDash run!
