What exhaust system would you suggest to add power , torque and a deeper louder rumble on my 2005 Toyota Tacoma 2.7L

Only thing that will add any noticeable power or torque is a supercharger or turbo. Exhaust won't do anything noticeable except change the sound on an N/A engine

Uh oh, here comes another “shoulda bought a six cylinder” thread. I guess a turbo is part of the exhaust. You can get more torque at the wheels by regearing and put a different manifold in for more noise.

Notice he also wants to add a “deeper louder rumble”. I think that is his main goal. I don’t care what you do it’s a 4 cylinder and will sound like a 4 cylinder. If you try to make it sound like like a deeper louder rumble you’ll just make it sound like shit. It’s a 4 cylinder, nothing wrong with a 4 cylinder if that’s what you want, but don’t bother trying to make it something it isn’t and never will be.
Welcome to TW. Sorry to be so harsh on your first post, just telling it the way I see it.

My main goal is to add some power. The fucker drags . I’m pretty sure it’s due to my exhaust that has leaks. Tried wrapping and patching it worked for a minute but I want a permanent fix and a nice one at that.

Anything stainless, your not going to gain anything but more noise no matter what exhaust you choose. Borla or magnaflo might be good

Any more I just use Walker Exhaust Factory Replacement .

It fits it all bolts together if it breaks far from home 2 days it can be in hand most places.

If and when i need a new exhaust, i'll go oem. 15.5 years in the rust belt and the original is still going
