Uh, no not really. If your subwoofer has a bad coil you wouldnt know it without a multimeter, if one of your wires has a break in it you wouldnt know without a multimeter, if a wire came loose after installing the subs in the box you wouldnt know it without a multimeter.

Dont be a fool, it takes 10 seconds to check. Not checking is just pure laziness.

Oh and thats not a volt meter, its a multimeter because it reads more than just volts.

I’m not even the person who posted the picture. Cool story tho, bro

Apparently reading comprehension is difficult for you. I clearly used “he” in my post. It’s ok, we all have our faults. The internet can help you learn how to comprehend better tho!

Wrong. Like the guy above said, there’s many things that can go wrong inside the box. Takes two seconds to check the ohm load. Plenty of installers do it. I’ve seen that first hand.

Difference between being a dick and being honest. :)

See what happens when you don’t do you due diligence? Things happen in a frenzy. Maybe you should have used a volt meter before posting that. Haha.

    Lol I don't need a volt meter I know
But for real, do you know a way to actually check the real amp ouput? From what I have read there really isn't a way to get true output. And no I am not a installation guy, just doing my own for many years

This can be used to get the real output from a amp, its a bit pricy though.. .but much cheaper than the big ones that go for about $3500

Well I was just checking resistance, not the output of my amp.
Only way I know to do that is to put it on an amp dyno, but I ain't got one of those.

You words are confusing my man? “The real amp output”? I’m not sure what you’re asking? If you’re referring to what the guy who posted the picture was checking with his volt meter, that’s not “the amp output”. That’s the load that would be put on the amp.

Now if you’re talking about the wattage output of the amp itself, that’s different.

To answer your question, I don’t know how to check that. I’m sure there is a way, especially since amp manufacturers (most of them) send a certificate with the amp that shows the true output.

Ive never done it though, so I wouldn’t know how.

Yup! I sent an email to myself (I remind myself with emails all the damn time. Lol) to check line on Monday. I’m preparing a new setup and never checked. Takes two second. Might as well.
