This is my first time on the forum so I’m sorry if this has been covered. I own a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. Does anyone have a 3 inch lift with 285/70’s? I found a dealer that will install the lift to maintain factory warranty and they said I could clear those tires with very minimal trimming and wheels spacers. I would buy wheels with a higher - offset instead of spacers just curious if anyone has done this already. I would like to avoid a cmc at all costs. Thanks in advance.

Get 255's and avoid the CMC. Wheel spacers aren't going to get it done. You will clear the UCA's with spacers, but the body mount is still there.

And yeah, a few people here run lifted and 285's lol.

I appreciate your reply but it doesn’t really answer my question. The dealership said they have installed the 3 inch lift and cleared 285’s without a cmc. I was wondering if anyone on this site could confirm that information for me rather than taking the dealerships word for it considering they might just be trying to get more money down the road by withholding that information.

285's won't rub much with the right arms and fitment. But they will rub on hard turn into parking lots etc.

I personally can't stand rubbing at any time and if I ever ran 285's I would CMC 100%.

It does not void warranty, most techs don't even notice it if its done right.

I'm not sure how I didn't answer your question, but I'll try again.

    See the bold part?

Search here for 285's and CMC and see what turns up.

Lift or not, it doesn't matter in regards to a CMC with 285's.

Tacoma’s are weird they’ll rub regardless what you do. I have 315s on a 4.5 inch with CMC and now I just rub against the front bumper. If it’s not the UCA then it’s the cab mount if it’s not the cab mount then it’s the front bumper. Only way not to rub at all is cmc, UCAs, spacers, trimming bumper or after market bumper. A little rub here and there at full lock never hurt anyone it’s definitely worth it for the looks.

It most definitely could void warranty on the frame.

On the spot modified sure, but I've seen 6" DB trucks replaced frames due to corrosion and they have cut crossmembers.

Toyota is not like Ford when it comes to warranty work I’d be very surprised if they pulled that. I had a clutch replaced for free by Toyota at 30k miles lmfao.
