Can u turn off the auto locks in settings on your head unit . See if it stops ? If so then more than likely faulty part.

Most likely yes but it could still act up causing my truck to not lock. So I’m guessing it’s the actuator so I may just replace that and see. Just wanted to be 100%

VERY likely its something in the lock assembly is bad.

The lock assembly contains a solenoid motor, as well as a feedback switch to indicate the lock motor position. I am pretty sure if the ECU doesnt detect the correct feedback from the actuator after it commands the change, it cycles the power to the actuator back and forth.

I took the panel off a couple weeks ago and inspected the lock and cables at the handle and lock it all looked fine I lubricated it and all still acts up. Of course this happened when I was parked on a hill and my fiancé decided to let the door slam a bit. Drives me nuts now. To me it seems like it’s just sticking.

Here's the FSM section on the door locks. Maybe it can help.

Mine went bad on my 2020 the first week I had it. They originally thought it was water shorting it out and after two weeks and multiple techs and engineers looking at it they came to the conclusion it was just bad from the factory. Toyota sent me a check for $1,000 a week later for my troubles.

My actuator was bad from day one. It would do exactly what you said. Took it in under warranty. They replaced the actuator and never had the issue again.

The check would be nice lol. Unfortunately this issue started happening as soon as I was out of warranty I called my dealer and they wanted 200 bucks just to check it out. I figured it was the actuator and will just buy the part and do it my cost I’ll test it and see. Of course it only happens occasionally.
