    Hey all,

I have been browsing around looking at different tube steps to put on my 2010 DC Magnetic Gray Taco. I have pretty much decided I want black, either 3" round or 4" oval. However, I have heard that they will rust within a year, so I would like to find some stainless steel powder-coated ones. Any suggestions as to a good brand that has these and where to find them? Thanks!

I bought stainless steel ones off e-bay 3 years ago that seem to be holding up well (I think they're made by Hunter?). You can always paint them black if you don't like the shiney appearance. If you take care of regular steel steps they shouldn't rust in theory, maybe get them line-x'd. Steel only rusts when salt/water gets through the protective paint layer to the steel below.

I have 4" black ovals made by Aires. They are not powdercoated stainless steel, but they look good as new after 1 year.

If I had to buy them again, I would, but I'd get the 3" ovals in stead of the 4". IMO the 4" ovals look a bit oversized for the Tacoma.
