Vehicle Inspections

I'm moving to the DFW area in May from FL, where I'm used to the state not giving a shit what anyone is driving. In fact I've never lived in a state with inspections.

How particular are they to modified trucks? What kinds of things are they looking for? Are there any weird rules there like the tires sticking out past the fenders?

Is there a website or something where I can view regulations regarding things we're not allowed to have?

Welcome to DFW. We do inspect emissions here, that will be the big thing. There is a rule about tires sticking out, but its not an inspection criteria and its a luck of the draw on whether you get an inspector that gives a minimum-wage shit about things like that.
