Just placed an order for one of these... sort of wary of ordering something that ships off FB marketplace (not a very "official" vendor format), but it looks like others have had success with this. Price seems very reasonable.

Ordered the "black" color.. curious if the 1/4" will warp over time. Will report install fitment and first impressions when it arrives!

I also ordered one last night, the light grey. I have the OEM tailgate locker incoming as well so I figured I'd kill 2 birds with one stone.
I'll post my impressions and pics as well.

Not the best photo but it fit like a glove and looks nice. Be aware if you have any kind of tailgate sealing or weatherstripping like I do, it fits super, super tight. I had to adjust the latch loops on the sides of the bed to get it to close and latch without having to slam it shut and it feeling over-tight when opening. Light Grey is very light but I like it as it makes anything set on the gate easier to see. It would be nice if it was routed thin at the bottom to accommodate for the bump at the bottom of my 2020 tailgate. Bad thing is that with this bump and it not being thinner is it takes away from having more "meat" for the lower smaller screws to be able to grab when tightening down. Other than that, the seller was super cool and quick to respond. The price was great and the shipping costs weren't bad at all. I'll continue to monitor and keep updating as to how it works out over time. Concerning the OEM tailgate lock, super easy and worthwhile mod. Feel free to ask if you have any questions....

I agree with the above! Mine arrived on Saturday, install took 5 mins. I don't have weatherseal, and tailgate seems to close fine. I ordered black, and with it being 1/4" thick I have a little concern about warping, but there are enough screws holding it in place so it should be fine. I think the $150 I paid is reasonable (much more than Mountain Hatch), looks like I can get a sheet on ebay for $60 but after cutting and drilling it just made sense to get this "ready to go" one.

Anyone seen the Trailgate from AL Offroad? Another option to throw into the mix. $185/195 depending on cup holders or not. 1/8" powercoated aluminum.

I finally got around to pricing from the laser on these from 11 gauge aluminum (1/8th inch).

They can go for $110 + Shipping.

I don't know what shipping would look like since it'll be an odd shaped package, but relatively light.:notsure:

Can you check shipping to 20147 ?

And can you check the cost for a piece that is not cut for the tailgate? Just 18x52? Maybe in the same box?

Shipping looks to be about $30 - But that is an estimate only.. ( I don't know the actual packed weight or dimensions, so I just guessed 10lbs and 20"x54") Just a sheared sheet of aluminum would probably be $40 or less for the material.

Got it and getting ready to cut the cupholder holes, just waiting for my dead battery pack to charge.

Good quality so far and super nice guy, I would definitely recommend him. I only have one discrepancy and it's really not a big deal. I had to redrill the screw holes because they were off or not done at all. No biggie.

I'll post the finished product when it's all done.

Got it all in, cups and all. Everything fit pretty well.

    20210322_171316.jpg

I had one fitment issue though. The little rubber stoppers were making a full lock struggle a bit. I just trimmed them down and actually closes better than before lol.

    20210322_173337.jpg 20210322_174235.jpg

I also see that the insert left a bigger gap at the bottom. Not a big deal for me, I figure the bed might drain better now. :burp:

    20210322_175817.jpg

Overall, I'm super happy with it

Nice. Totally interested but I am not on Facebook, and the Facebook marketplace seems to be the only place to buy it from him.

I'm not either lol. I just created one and went from there. He lives close to me so I was able to drive up and save on the shipping.

Oh yeah I just remembered I had to drill a few extra holes because he accidentally sent me the one for the third gen tacoma. I wonder if that's what happened with you. He said the holes line up a little bit different. That's weird I didn't have the issue with the stoppers. Looking forward to seeing how your cup holder mod goes.

Oh snap. The cup holder looks good I just saw the pictures. I'm going to have to do that
