Hi guys, I finished my MT swap 30+k ago and I’m finally trying to wire back up my cruise control.

Can someone with access to a EWD post up some pictures of the Auto wiring for the safety switch. I believe the auto truck has to be in drive for cruise to activate.

If that’s the case I just need to send power to the Drive circuit. Thanks!

On the auto, power is sent through the neutral safety switch when in drive. On the manual, power is sent to the same terminal through the clutch switch. The idea is you don’t want to over rev the engine if you bump the auto into neutral or push the clutch in on the manual.

The clutch start switch is at the bottom of the pedal travel. The CC switch is at the top of the travel.

This is a ‘05 schematic, so it’s possible that the wire colors could be different on your ‘09.

found this. This is for a 2009. Pretty much the same. But I believe if I tie the yellow ignition wire to the Blue / black stripe should work right? . I’m not going to wire the cruise switch. But maybe. Or just go ignition > clutch switch> blue / black stripe?

Bear with me, I’m not the best when it comes to wiring.

I don’t know where all the wires are routed, but the neutral safety switch is under the truck and the clutch switch is under the dash. They are powered from different fuses, but it wouldn’t matter which fuse you powered the clutch switch from. Jumpering the neutral switch should make it work. While you’re under there, hook the power and reverse to the reverse switch on your manual trans. If you do all that, you just have to be smart enough to not push in the clutch pedal when you’re cruising.

Easiest way to do it would be to find P1 (Park/Neutral Position SW) and cut wires off the harness at pin 2 and 7 and splice together. If you want the clutch switch to function for cruise control it would be a little more involved, but you'd need to install the switch and route the associated wiring to the ECM

Do the same for pins for and 5 if you want to bypass the clutch start switch interlock, as mentioned be careful not to start unless in neutral or clutch depressed
