    I'm looking to add a cargo tie down to the very back of my bed wall next to the door so I can have a cargo net right up agains the back. See red circle in attached pic. Any suggestions on hardware and placement? I'm worried about drilling into anything important. TIA.

    Put either a 2 inch or 3 inch v ring on that bolt you circled, and tie the bottom of the net to the existing rings on the bed.

    Thanks for the quick responses. I like those V rings. I was thinking of using that bolt, but since I don't really know what it does, I was wary about taking it off.

    I just holds the top of part #3 to the bed and rails along with some other bits behind it. Should be fine to use it as a light duty tiedown.

    Eh, I just did the old jazz-hands routine in the search box. I'm glad they're acceptable lol. I'd take it very personally if I were wrong.

    Here's another tie-down option. I use racks which fit perfectly in the trough of the bed corrugations. VERY off road capable, stuff does not move. On the crest of corrugations, I use anti-slip 3M tape (the 1" size fits perfectly).

    I also have one of those rails along the top of the tailgate. Years ago I found out the hard way that the OEM tie-down rails aren't so sturdy.

    @Juisebocks - thanks. Where did you get that technical drawing from? And do you have any idea about the other bits behind? I'm only concerned about something falling off on the backside and not being able to get to it...

    @Stuck Sucks - what is your mount hardware for your recovery boards? I like them on the tailgate...

    MAXTRAX XTREME Mounting Pins -- they can accommodate two or four boards. I think they're around 60$ from MaxTrax, closer to 30 on eBay. They have a hole for a lock.

    An alternative option might be bed stiffeners. I have the Total Chaos ones, and they are the tie down points that I seem to use the most in the truck. Dual purpose, and each side gives you 3 points. Just a thought ;)

    Thanks for the tips everyone. I'm going to try the total chaos bed stiffeners and see how it works out.

    For what it is worth, I got a set of these and I have found them incredibly useful:
    https://www.*****************.com/o...wMjAmdD10cmQtb2ZmLXJvYWQmZT0zLTVsLXY2LWdhcw==

    The only limitation is that they slide into the bed rail so they only go as far as the length of the bedrail and that may not be close enough to the back of the bed. There are generic ones on Amazon that are for a much better price. I have to say I have found these more useful than I even thought I would.
