When will the 6112s be available again??

Any one know?? I called a couple vendors and they all claim no knowledge of when to see these for our trucks. Any inside info out there??

 

It looks like Wheeler's Offroad has them in stock.

 

I like wheelers but you need to call first to verify. Few months ago, I placed an order for the 5100s because they were “in stock” on the website. Come to find out they had none and were waiting several weeks to get a shipment. So before ordering, a quick call will get you your answer. Good luck.

 

I cancelled my last 2 orders with Wheelers after they claimed it was in stock. Waited for almost 2 months and gave them a second chance a bit later, same story. Not the same since Trail Gear bought them. Headstrong offroad is a much better bet, not to mention better to deal with as of late.

 

I called and spoke at some length with a guy at Wheelers. He had the same story the other folks I talked to did. No idea when they will be in. Bilstein does not sound very forthcoming with info on delivery. He was frustrated too.. Thanks for the tip on them anyway, sounds like TG fouled them up some?? I will check with Headstrong and appreciate the tip there. I am afraid it looks like I will be waiting for months to do my suspension...

 

This cycle has been around for years. Great products, though.

 

Yup my 5100s for the front are apparently on order and don't know when they will come in. Oh well no rush

 

PSA on Wheeler's - they are now owned by Trail Gear, some off road company based in Fresno, CA. All of their assemblies take place there along with the other brands, not in Oregon anymore. I ordered some OME's and Bilstein's a few weeks ago and while I got my order in a decent amount of time, know that not everything is done out of the same facility anymore - Oregon is simply a call center now.

 

Yup, it sucks too. I used to use them for everything and the guys down there had me dialed in no time. Not the case anymore. Trail Crap consumed another.

Allegedly trail gear bought out headstrong, and Marie no longer works for them.

 

I just ordered 6112's and 5160's from Wheelers. I was a little surprised when they showed up with a Trail Gear packing list and they shipped from Fresno California. I the order fill and shipping times were really great. I ordered the 6112's first and after the order went through I ordered the 5160's. Both deliveries were at my front door with in 5 days and I live in the middle of everywhere. That was back in November. I remember because my wife was gonna make me wait for Christmas to open the boxes.

 

Thanks Captain for the good report on the Wheelers. They were good to talk to on the phone and spent some time with me. Helped me confirm my selection of 6112s/5160s. He was however no help in actually getting them. He claims they are not available... I also asked if he was a big enough volume dealer that they would get them in stock first, or if he knew how that worked. It sounded like they just get surprised when stuff shows up...
