I have in channel rain guards and just with those it’s a fairly tight fit. I’d be hesitant to have them both in there if it was me.

Also, they want $190 for them and they’re plastic?!? That’s crazy!

I think they do fit. the vents sit inside the window frame and the guard is on the outside of the window frame (I think). I run avs rain guards and I haven't really looked into vents yet

I agree, this is a stupid price point. I need them for camping in the midwest in July... My dog sleeps in the back seats of the cab.

My AVS rain guards adhere to the inside of the window sill where the window itself slips into to close. If these rely on that same tactic, they likely won't both fit.

Seems like they will work together. TacomaBeast sent these photos for reference, FYI.

That’s good to know. My concern would be that it would narrow the gap too much and put strain on your window motor trying to roll it up and down.

I guess you can get them, try them out, and if you think it’s too much remove them?

Let me know how it goes though please. I’m definitely interested!

    From TacomaBeast's website:
"The window vents are NOT permanent when installed. They easily slide into the factory window track, the window slides into a channel along the bottom of the vents for stability, and to remove you simply lower the window and angle the vent downwards and out."
So these are meant to be inserted and removed with ease. Hopefully that means with 1 person. I would not want to leave them in on the highway. Dust, noise, and Oops I forgot they were there and rolled down my rear window at 70 mph... Annnd they're gone! So, I wouldn't worry about motor strain, etc. But, for camping in the midwest in July... to keep the bugs out and provide some air flow to my canine companion, these seem like they would fit the bill. Sucks that these are pretty much the only game in town for what they are relative to their cost... If I buy a set, I will post back with updates.

My midwest trip isn't until July, so I am going to hold off on these for now. But I likely will snag a pair when my trip gets closer.

    Wow!!!

For $190, you might try making your own out of ABS sheet or 3/16" (5 mm) wood and a bit of window screen, some paint........
Make templates from cardboard to figure the shape of the window and window channel.

Yeah, I'm mulling over how I would build a pair... really only need 1 at the very least and only while parked... Hmmm indeed.

The only trick is the material needs to be thick enough for a groove to accept the window, then thinned at the top to fit the channel. You can measure the window thickness and the channel width.

Shape can be set up with a cardboard template using the window as a model.

$190 will buy a bunch of material. Mistakes or trials can be done without much chance of cost over run.

If there is no light on in the cabin, you should be able to crack all the windows and not get too buggy in there. Or you could put the pooch in a collapsible wire kennel in the bed or on the ground. My dogs just sleep in the tent with me.

In northern Minnesota where mosquitos are the state bird (they're YUGE) they will find you by your CO2 output.

I cut my rear sleeping area down to do a side bin, so there wouldn't be room in there for the pups really.

Plus, she's usually filthy from running amuck. She's not even 2 yet and goes HAM for 18 hours straight. Minnesota has ticks and fleas, too. So thats a big negative in sleeping with me!

Before you go.....prep the pup to resist them parasites. Don't forget the heartworm regime.

    Many effective topical products.

I use a few products to keep my little buddy bug free. Fenbendazole (hook, tape, round, whip worms), Heartgard (heart worms) and a topical that contains permethrin (45%) and pyriproxyfen (5%) for fleas & ticks. Always check with your VET before giving any of this stuff.

My dog is a hunter and is easily running under brush.....after squirrels, rabbits, gophers, chipmunks....... Fortunately, he is good on a whistle recall.

My regime might be a bit over, but I figure its easier to keep him parasite free than to go thru treatment to remove.
