Does anyone know at what volume the stock entune 8” non jbl stereo distorts or clips at?

Curious if anyone tested this ? Looking to dial in gains on my amp.

 

It depends. Music is dynamic. It can cause the amp to clip at 10% or 50%. Talk radio is less dynamic.

 

Yes. The first channel starts to clip at level 49 with 1KHz tone @0dB.

you went all out I am not as advanced in car audio but have always loved loud clean music my setup is nice but I am using the kicker setup with the titanium dome drop In Subaru tweeters and the cs speakers and a kicker 10 dvc sub it sounds good but I find there way too many highs at times and the super high frequencies of the titanium dome tweeters are almost to much to bear anyways invested to much to redo it now but looking to make it as loud and as clean as possible

 

If the Tweeters are too bright, you may be able to take them out and cover them with some grill cloth to tone them down some since they dont come with crossovers to dial them back

When I worked at an audio shop a LOOOONG time ago, thats what we did on a lot of cars especially when they had titanium tweeters that was a little too bright.

 

what kind of cloth anything?

 

They make a speaker grill cloth. Same type cloth that covers the grills on house speakers. Can prob order online now.

Mine was 49 at 1khz test tone and 45 with 40hz test tone using dd1 plus meter.
