    What's a 5.1 topper?

    A topper or canopy will "fit", as the bed dimensions between the trucks are very similar. The problem is that the bedsides on the 3rd gen are taller, so the canopy won't match up with the back window/ roofline.

    Also there are some subtle differences between the tailgates so it won't seal perfectly (not like they do anyways)
