I just used my winch a few weeks back...2X in an hour pulling people out of deep snow parking spots where they couldn’t get traction.

No issues. I use my own AGM tables though

The voltage may be dropping below the target when these things are on and drawing power, and when that happens the ECU sees the voltage at the battery =/= voltage target being requested, and will give this warning.

Been reading all the pages and still don't feel 100% about which values I should use. What would be safe for a 2016 AT 04B04 running a northstar 27f?

Still curious if the weather temps will have any effect on the values as well.

I just had mine reflashed this morning with @SpeySquatch map that he screen captured and posted. It’s 0° here in Denver and it’s been 14.4 steady while driving. I would notice some dips in voltage when I shift to reverse and back but I’ll keep an eye on it from here. 2016 here.

I'm running a X2 24F with these settings with good results.

Awesome! What about the phase duty base voltage numbers? I thought I would need to change more settings than what's just in the pic. Thanks!

I no longer change any of the other values. I leave those stock. Seems to be working ok for me so far.

Good to know I don't have to mess with anything else. Any idea how the weather will affect those numbers? I'm in Florida and the weather gets down to the 30's and will get up to 100 in the summer.

For those of you not changing the other values, are you watching what the alternator output percent is? Would be curious to see if it's different than with the values changed.

With these settings, I'm getting around 14.6 until the ECT gets higher, then down to 14.5. lower at idle and after coming to a stop.

I have been running similar numbers since August. I get a float temp change from 14.3 to 14.5 @ battery i get 14.6

I've been looking more into the AGM preferred settings and watching what others are doing. I've ran many of the settings shown in this thread. Some were a little hot for my tastes, others were too low. Some don't fluctuate at all with temperature, so those scared me.

The table for AGM charge voltages posted earlier in this thread shows what AGM's like vs temperature in theory. I plotted that to see the curve shape. Then I overlaid that on plots of the values we are changing in the vF software that supposedly correlate to temperatures also. What I'm seeing is the AGM table is a flatter curve than what the ECU comes stock for the flooded batteries, and vs what other users are putting in. I got the equation of the AGM curve, and then plotted a similar curve to get the values to put into vF. Then I applied a knockdown factor (.9875 in the example below) to that just to have some margin.

Some of you are ignoring the low temp values and only adjusting from 30 on. I'm assuming this is because your trucks may never see -40F, etc... For the most part, all the values we are all using are very similar from 30 - 160. It's the cold side where we are doing different things.

Anyway, the charts below are the tinkering I've done. I'm currently running the green line and green cell values and am getting between 14.5 and 14.3 at 30-50 degrees F here in UT. I've been playing with the multiplier targeting 14.5 to 14.3. On a few cold mornings I'll get 14.7 at start up so i think it's doing what it should be.

I leave the other tables alone and it works keeping the stock config for them. I monitor with my OBD2 and it is exactly where I want it and where it should be after speaking with an interstate AGM battery specialist. He said the roof for their batteries is 14.7, so having 0.2v of voltage down while driving works great in the summer and when it’s cold at startup it has had zero issues the whole winter here in Idaho

I have been using the setting with only the first table edited and my batteries seem to be very happy. I also have solar which allows me to monitor what stages of charging the batteries did/did not hit that day. Since changing only those values and not messing with the other tables, I have hit "float" more times and more consistently than I ever did with all the tables edited. I also have a fridge running and it still makes it to float daily. When the other tables were modified, it was rare that I hit float.

Lot of information here, thanks for those taking the time to better the community. That said, I'm an idiot and I still find myself confused on the entire process for the tune. Do I purchase the software directly from OV, then get a tune from and end-user, then upload myself? Or do I have to go to a shop local to do this? I have an AGM (odessy grp 31) and batt tray sitting on the shelf, been holding off on putting it in until I get this figured out.
