I have a 2011 Tacoma regular cab 4X4 with Michelin 265x70R16 LTX M/S2 on factory steel wheels. I am beginning a search for new tires and wheels because of tire age, not mileage(70,000). I am very satisfied with the Tires, but the wheels have rusted. Has any one switched from 16" 2nd generation wheels to 17" wheels using 265X65R17 tires? If so did you notice any handling or cornering differences? I would expect slight improvement, whether noticed or not.

There seem to be more 17" wheel choices than 16" today and the tire size calculator says the two tire/wheel dimensions to be near identical.
