I feel for ya man I really do. Got a rental included on your policy? :D Most body shops have a night deposit Dropbox for after hours so then you’d only have to worry about transportation. All good things must come to an end, even Timothy Olyphant and Drew Barrymore - who are an oddly compatible and dynamic screen couple.

Yes I believe I do have rental on my insurance. Im going to have to ask if any of the body shops have a night drop off.

And you are right about Timothy and Drew. They made a great screen couple. =)

Brother I know all to well that stabbing sensation in the soul. Couple months ago I was backing up and forgot I had my trailer hooked up on truck and jack knifed it into the driver side bed. Had to replace the whole bed side panel. What the body shop guy told me was that if the metal is perforated that they usually just replace the body panel as it is cheaper than the labor to repair. I have had 2 similar type accidents in the past 2 years, one on each side of the truck. Also backed into a guy-wire a couple of years ago and swiped the passenger side of my truck. So I have had 2 claims on my insurance in the last 2 years. My insurance did not go up as a result. I am guessing since there was no ticket issued or other cars involved may have been a factor in that. Many years ago I paid out of pocket for a repair so it didn’t go on my insurance. It was wasted money since my insurance ended up getting record of that accident anyway as there was a police report. I would recommend just letting it get done by a professional. You not only have to buy the parts, you have the labor to install, then priming, paint matching, refinishing, etc.. To be done properly and to not look like a cheap repair on a nice truck that would be your best bet.

Thanks for the advise bro. I cant imagine how depressing it must have been to accidentally damage your truck. Id be banging my heard against the wall after the second time. But yes, im looking into getting some quotes and just feeling it out on what is the best affordable option. No doubt I want my truck to look as if nothing happened to it.

    Damm man!
    That’s sucks sorry!
I’d do the body shop insurance also.
Odds of finding used doors as clean as yours look may not be so good.
Let them figure out the best fix.
A good shop isn’t cheap but their work stands up. Local shop great words about them rebuilt my front end 6 yrs ago. Looked better than new! I was a bit drifty went to far totally my fault. 4 months ago truck was totaled by a driver going right on red.
Then the wife backed into the rental that had 15 miles on it!
I’d think they would replace at least 1 of the doors and paint!
    Best of luck bud!

Thank bro! Yeah definitely will look into getting it through a body shop. Waiting on insurance for the estimate to get a rough idea.

Agree with this route. Replace the door and paint to match. Probably have to blend the entire side.
