My new boat didn't come with Docking Lights but it is prewired with loom and switch so easy enough to add. I've decided on Baja Design S1s as they are small, and still have great output plus waterproof. I use the wide cornering S1s as ditch lights and have been happy with them. Thought about getting that same lens for these lights but wondering about the work light lens instead. Having a wide spread is key as these are for low speed docking but a little extra throw never hurt anyone. Anyone have both and can compare?

Wide Cornering and Work/Scene are actually pretty close in output given that you are still pushing all of the light from a single fixed source, and only have a "diffuser" differentiating them. In your application here I would likely go with the work/scene, personally. It is a little smoother light, and actually gets light higher. When I am docking a boat I like light to be everywhere. Including up high.

If it fits his aesthetic he may as well go black (black on a black boat). Even though they are marketed differently the only difference between the "Marine" version and the standard version of BD lights is the body color and the price. If you go and compare the spec sheets side by side they are 100% the same in terms of water/dust intrusion, output, etc. It's quite literally a copy/paste product listing.

Don’t even worry about the quote. Colton’s @memario1214. customer service is worth whatever price he gives you.

He just proved it in the thread
