For those of you using some kind of shock guard, what are you using for the king 2.0 smoothies?

I want to run this kit with 12" king 2.0 smoothies but looks like the shafts will get all pitted from gravel and rocks since its mounted in front of the rear axel.

King makes a shock guard but its only for the 2.5 smoothie and they dont recommend using the shock end from the 2.5 on the 2.0.

I was thinking a boot may work but it also may trap water and dirt.

I saw fox makes a shock guard but not sure if itll work with the kings.

I use a piece of 3/16" neoprene from Amazon secured on both ends with a hose clamp.

Was this neoprene that you purchased just a roll of neoprene that you wrapped around the shock body or was this a neoprene sleeve?

That stuff, I cut it into 4" wide, 14" long sections, and put it on the front of the shock.

Random question here for you JLee, but are there any plans on extending this design a few inches higher in order to be able to run a standard 14” shock?

I’m planning on doing a Chevy 63 swap, and will be using Kang 14” smoothies if possible.

Just trying to stay away from a $500 shock tower like AG.

14 is alot to stuff under the bed sides. I'm not sure it can be done without going through the bed.

Its been done many a times. Getting every single useable tenth of an inch of travel though is a push.

Edit: Realized this is the BAMF and not AG. Yeah probably not happenin

Would like to know. Those that are using a 2.5 shock what tire and wheel combo are you using and do you have to run wheel spacers with the B.A.M.F. shock frame brackets?

Have fn fx pro wheels which I think are 4.5 BS and 285/75/70 Toyo tires and run a 2inch wheel spacer to not rub. Prett sure I could drop down to a 1.5 or maybe a 1.25 spacer but the 2inch is what I had on hand

You could do some customization and probably shove a 14" standard body in there. You'll probably still sacrifice an inch or so of down travel.
