I have to replace my KO2s next week. I'm not in love with there performance on wet or road noise and was looking at the toyo's open country AT III. I was inclined on getting those but price wise they are the most expesive of the 3 (terra grappler)

Tires will be 285/75/16 and mainly used in Houston highways with the 2 or 3 drives to the rockies. Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

See a lot of people like Nitto ridge grappler

Falken wildpeak and cooper also seem to be front runners for a lot of people

Toyos are great. You get what you pay for. I had the at2 open country's back when they were the hot new thing and they performed well.

    Like, so many.
I went from the Terra Grapplers to the Ridge Grapplers. I liked the Terras, but I wanted something more aggressive. I’ve been very pleased with the NRG both on and off road. Quieter than you would expect for an aggressive tire.

From your list I would suggest the Toyo's. If you are open to suggestions, may I suggest the Yokohama GO15?

I have a set of SL's in factory size on my OR. Have had them for a few months now in a wide variety of conditions, including conditions that I should of not been in with that sort of tire. Have never been stuck, no flats, no drama. They are just incredibly boring to look at for an AT. They look like an aggressive 3 season highway tire with a rim protector and mild sidewall lugs. Really mild looks for an AT. But the damn things just flat out work well.

My only complaint is that they pick up little pebbles more than any other AT tire I've had. They may also be wearing faster then I would like to see. But that complaint may be unfounded. Time will tell.

The GO15's are NOT a specialized tire. Meaning they are not mud oriented. They are not a winter specific tire. They are not designed for high mpg highway only use. They were not designed specifically for rock climbing out west. But they MIGHT just be the best all around all terrain tire I've owned in 31 years of driving. I'm that impressed with them.
