I like that it adds a little something to the aircraft carrier deck of a hood that these trucks have. Personally, I like having the scoop to break up that big flat area. It’s all personal preference. If you like it, get it. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.

I'm pretty much indifferent to the scoop myself but do think it looks ok. I had always wanted a access cab with manual transmission and I like super white.
The wife was at a dealership and seen one being offloaded from the transport truck. It was destined to be mine.
That said, I'd take the rear locker for function over looks of the scoop.

The first vehicle I used as transportation was my Uncles 1976 F250 4x4, my first truck purchase was a 1969 Chevy 3/4 T 4x4, both of those trucks looked cool IMO. 20210227_092120.jpg

Simple, the bulge makes room for things underneath. In my case, taller supercharger parts, which will improve internal airflow.

It's a matter of taste I guess. Do you like comfort and indulgent, or sacrifice for better looks?

Only the owner knows for sure

I like the scoop cause it gives the truck a more aggressive powerful look. But in the end its all just peacocking.

Also the scoop stops hood flutter.

I guess there is one advantage to having the scoop. If you have it, that means you don't have chrome.....at least the way it came from the factory

subaru owner? Pretty sure that is the only maker that has a functional scoop and it is VERY subpar for air flow. Lots of Subaru guys swap to a front mounted inter cooler with any serious power

I will be joining the useless scoop group soon I hope. For me, it's just the look. Plus, I don't feel right driving a Toyota without a useless scoop....

I have an 18 limited and wish It had the scoop. It just looks cool and compliments the truck well. I don’t care if it’s mechanically functional or not, it’s aesthetically functional.

Because I think the hood scoop looks cool. That's main reason I got that model...
