Many times if you go to a touch free wash and choose the low tier option its more or less a high pressure rinse off. I have a unlimited holiday car wash card, but Im thinking of downgrading it to the lowest tier so they dont use so many chemicals on my truck and just rinse it.

EDIT: looks like the lower tier by me does not include under carriage wash

 

aside from installing a sticker it’s one of the easiest mods

 

Thanks bud..it's really easy...there's one nut that's kinda tricky to get threaded for that black chamber the filter sits in. I dropped it a few times thankfully I got it back with a magnet. I think it took me 30-45 minutes taking my time. Regular driving it sounds normal but when you drop the hammer it sounds almost like a trophy truck.

What type of tonneau cover do you have? I have a roll up soft one and was wondering if that’s okay to go through a car wash whilst deployed?

Thanks! Actually 3rd Gen Hilux. Great granddaddy of Tacos. 1979 was 1st Toyota truck to get 4wd. FJs were 1st 4wd Toyota’s , read somewhere that Land Cruiser parts were used on the 79-85?, solid axles. Cool video!
