Okay just wanted to post some pics of the process.
Why did I buy these nerf bars?
1.) Because they r a good in between of traditional nerf bars and rock sliders.
    2.) I didn't want heavy @$$ rock sliders ( these only weight 35lbs each ).
3.) Im a realist, I hit BLM land trails and some dunes here in NM... No rock sliding in my rig.
    What other relevant mods?
1.) Bilstein B8 5100s all around. front set to position #2 (.65 inch if lift; in front)
2.) plus size tires and pro wheels

Impressions:. these bars r very well made. the hardware is excellent. would recommend.

Nice job! You really took the time to get them prepped and painted!

Those look awesome! Could you post the model number or something? I went to Avid's site and can't find them. How did the install go? Straight bolt on? Thanks!

    See link below.

Install went fine... Good hardware... The holes line up well.

I ordered unpainted... So if u do the same the prep work for paint needs to be done well.

    This was my process
1.) remove rust with wire brush, cleaned with acetone, sand with 80 grit, clean with acetone, sand with 80 grit, and then two wipe downs with acetone.
2.) a bunch of light coates of self etching primer (3 rattle cans). dry over night
3.) next day; 5 coates of satin black. bake for a day in my garage. then install

*notes:. use anti-seize when installing the bars to the truck.. (on the bolts). I did this mainly to keep those holes protected from corrosion.
I used rust-oleum self-etching primer and rust-oleum satin black rattle cans.

So... I ordered my nerf bars from Avid. Ordered Mar 7, received May 12. For those counting, that wasn't 4-6 weeks. So on week 6 I emailed Brandon. I got nothing. So I emailed their info email address and on a Saturday night got a response from Tanner. He's a great guy and straight shooter. Time issue was they'd moved shops in the middle of my order. Plus side very honest, negative side is their move shouldn't impact my shipment or somebody should told me without having to ask.
So, longer wait than expected so buyer beware.
That being said, the bars were shipped nicely packaged or at least safely. All parts accounted for. Bars and powdercoat are perfect. Install was 45 minutes both sides.
Aside from the wait etc.. they are perfect.20210513_180317.jpg 20210513_180335.jpg 20210513_180327.jpg

They stick out about the same distance as the tire. Look good imo. Tanner is a great guy. I'd do it again, I'd just pull the trigger with more lead time from when I really wanted them.

Damn I did not know that. I thought I saw a 4-6 week lead time before I ordered, which is why I went with them. Ordered sliders March 3rd, was told they were in powder coat May 3rd, no notifications yet.
