That's only the easy half...now try pressing the brake and see what happens...not as easy as most think...

So that I understand, your buddy has a push to start, can can get into the vehicle without the engine turning off, and shift and drive off? If this is true, tell him we're hiring him as R&D Manager. He passed the interview already, and we don't need a resume, just a video of him being able to remote start and drive off a PUSH TO START 3rd gen.

HKEY AT/MT and STD KEY do not turn off and sometimes people overlook this fact and apply it across the board...

Like I said, I don’t know the technical details, he just told me he could do it. He’s supposed to show me the next time we’re both in town for our army reserve weekend. Whenever that happens, I plan on taking notes/pics/videos, and I’ll be happy to share the details

My question wasn't about how or the details because we know how it's done, and it's quite complex... it was more of has he actually done it, or just saying he knows how to...because that door pin isn't the solution. ;)

Gotcha. He told me that he “figured it out on his Pro, and can help me do it to mine on our next drill weekend” I’ll shoot him a text and try to get clarification

Ok...he said he can remote start, unlock, and get in the truck without it shutting off, but he can’t drive off yet. He said he’s going to make it his primary project once he finishes the drone he’s building. I’ll post when I get any updates
