Rear bsm harness

I have a 2016 trd sport. My problem is that the rear bsm harness is corroded and is causing my climate control to not work( no heat, no fan). The fuse blows right away (IG1-2 10a)Does anyone know if I can just cut the plug off which I'm assuming will fix the short. Or does it need to be there so the power can return to the climate control. I dont really care if I have the rear bsm but heat would be nice. Dealer quoted me $2700 to replace the whole thing which is crazy
