SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Looked at a few threads, but could only find either the snorkel (not desired) or just discussions on avoiding water. With my SSO hybrid high clearance bumper at 33"s on the truck the front wheel liners are cut pretty aggressively, and as a result even modest trail drives get water on to the air filter. Has anyone got ideas for relocating the intake to a different spot or a way to decrease water penetration at the stock spot with that much liner chopped?

Are you submerging your truck? Splashing through some puddles shouldn’t cause that much water to get in and on your filter..

Even with a full bumper replacement I have enough fender liner to protect the intake.

Yes, lots of deep slushy trails and water crossings over the hub. Wasn't an issue in summer, but seems like the slush is worse - long periods of heavy wheel spin with half the tire buried

I was going to suggest something like this. That, or get a sport hood and reroute the duct work to make the scoop functional as an intake. You could potentially run into some other issues, however, if it's raining hard enough and you don't have a good way to drain the water before it reaches the filter.

I gotta see pics of these supposedly modest trails with deep water crossings.
