Looks like it didn't understand what the center diff does for AWD. After some research this is totally possible without the torsen so I was totally wrong.

How's the project going @BassAckwards? Did you ride out the crazy weather alright?

My Spec stage 2+ has been holding up great and i havent been nice to it lol. I have some vibrations in certain rev ranges, but i had that on my old LCE dual comp clutch as well. I think something is out of balance, but it hasnt exploded yet, so that's a positive :D

    Good morning Maner!
    Good morning John!
Hmmmm.. you are right, i do need a name for this one. Gonna have to be thinking on this!

Hmmm, well it seems that the AWD plans have fallen thru for this truck. From my research, the input shaft is different in the AWD FJ case, so i wont be able to swap the 23 spline auto input shaft needed to stick it behind an R155/156.. Soo since that's the case, my v6 6spd is now getting the AWD case and the 4 cyl is going to get the auto case out of that truck.. i am disappointed, but i guess some things just arent meant to work out. At least i have another truck i can use the AWD case on, so that's a positive! That swap should begin this weekend if the parts come in
I am not running a trans cooler for the trans since i have a manual, but i do have a hayden trans cooler that is used for the S/C. I was looking into some Derale units a while back that have an efan. That's probably the route i'd go if i had an auto. That and add a t-stat to the line so it can warm up and not keep things overly cool

Still gathering parts for the AWD swap, got driveshafts from an Auto 4wd to use with the longer t-case. Hopefully they show up this week so i can swap it out this weekend.

Yeah man, it was brutal, but i made it through. Went without power (and water since i have a well) for 5 days. Thank god for a propane stove and shop heater, those saved my ass. But looks like the plumbing made it through okay, so that's a good thing. It was and still is a real mess down here though. Runs on supplies, trees down all over the place. Hopefully we dont get any more weather like that anytime soon!

Good mornin Matt! It did great as far as traction went. But i had to drive it a while on some hwys and the ice/snow accumulated in the wheel wells pretty bad to the point where it'd bottom out and make some nasty noises when going over bumps. You can see the ice 1/4" from touching the rear tire in the rear fender well in the pic above lol. Maybe lowered trucks arent made for the snow/ice?

Awesome, I can see the height posing an issue. My suspension got cakes in frozen slush and rode like a dang wagon I’m so glad it’s over.

I was thinking the same thing, "looks like last tuesday..." But if your not used to it, it can be nasty.

that slush on the rear flaps, its like my #1 fun thing to do after a day of driving in the snow, I give it a little kick and see what falls off.

glad your OK. My wife's been telling me how nutty its been down there with the power situation

Oh you have no idea.... and I have to laugh a bit at y'all finding out about slush/snow accumulation noises. I've grown up with that every year of my life, we use the blade of a hockey stick to reach in and knock it all out when it's warm enough.

Yeah Texas just isnt prepared for this kinda of weather, so when it comes in hard and heavy like that, it cripples the supply chain and all the travel too. I am very fortunate though, there are people i work with who still dont have power, and the Electric Co told them it could be a month before it's restored.

Lol i was kicking it off too, that shit was really packed in there good though.

Thanks, yeah it hasn't been fun, but i am glad this is largely behind us. Now to just start picking up all the pieces..

Me too man, it's so nice to be able to go outside without thermals, a hat, and two jackets :D

Before long, it'll be time to plant the spring crops!

Yeah after driving for an hour, i started hearing those crunching noises, and i thought to myself, that doesnt sound good lol. But i damn sure wasn't getting out in the cold and battling that stuff. There was probably 50+lbs of ice though that came off of it once it started thawing out.

Afternoon yall, got some stuff done on the truck today. Welded in another muffler in the tailpipe section and relocated the hanger. Ive only driven it on dirt roads so far but it seems a good bit quieter already. This is muffler #3 and i think with a resonator it’ll be perfect. Also made some brackets out of aluminum to mount some baja designs lights i've had sitting around.

I'm curious to see what your back pressure and egt's look like with that many mufflers in the system

They’re all straight through style mufflers so id imagine it wouldnt be worse than with the stock exhaust. I would be interested to know as well though. Do the guys that go turbo have an egt sensor welded in their exhaust typically?

I'm probably going to do it just for data and curiosity. I wasn't sure if you'd gone with chambered or straight through style for those. Basically you've just got a bunch of resonators!
