Purchased my Taco 7 months ago. Adding minor mods as I go. A 2” spacer + 1” block was added to fit the new wheels on 285/70r17’s. Minor trimming of plastic required and front mudguard removed to eliminate the occasion rubbing. Although I’ve been satisfied with the stance and the height I’m not loving the stiff ride. I’m also noticing backend sag when the bed is loaded up.

To correct the issues, I’ve picked up Bilstien 5100’s front/rear, OME 888 coils, and an Icon 1.5” rear add-a-leaf expansion pack. Hopefully, removing the spacers and installing the new parts will improve the ride and functionality.

I’m looking for suggestions. I don’t have the tools or space to complete the installation. Is anyone able to recommend some shops in the Orange County, CA area that could do the install? If not, I’ll just go out and buy the jack, stands, and tools needed to do the job. Thanks!

I just did basically the same upgrades this weekend by myself. I would suggest getting the tools and doing it yourself. You will save a ton of money and it is relatively simple. Watch youtube videos and set aside an afternoon.

Thank you. It currently has a 2" space up front and 1" block in back. I'll tackle the install with the parts I purchased this weekend. I also bought some Icon upper control arms to include in the build. I figured I might as well do it all while it's all taken apart.

Please post pictures after install, you've got a nice build and I'm interested to see how it looks/sits with the installs. What do you expect your lift to be afterwards?

Will do. I’m including Icon UCA’s while I’m at it. Should get those delivered over the weekend. So I’ll be posting an update soon. I expect to have about the same height with better handling andfunctionality.

You must be handy to be able to take that UCA bolt out. I saw my mechanic cousin do mines, I probably would've gotten stuck.

What do you measure center hub to fender?
