    This is Lindsey. We got him just over a year ago from the shelter. Apparently, he was a barn cat and was fixed/released the first time he was picked-up. We were told the clipped-ear is a thing they do to show they have been fixed? Anyways, he LOVES people so much he just couldn’t stay feral so we are his lucky family now!

    Yeah, most cities do a catch and release program with strays where they catch them, fix them, clip the ear and send them on their way. Helps keep the stray population under control and lets them know who's been fixed and who hasn't.

    My ex had a cat like that, she actually helped the city to catch strays to get them fixed. She'd set up a cat toy trap and then take the cat in to get fixed.
