Stubby seems like a good tool to have in the arsenal, but I'm thinking 1/2" high torque impact.

Disappointing because it's got maybe 1000 miles. Going to douse it with water and see if there's less noise and contact magnuson. But several others have stated there's a cold start squeaking so I didn't give it a 2nd thought, hoping it would go away.

Any chance it could be one of your stock serpentine belt idler? or are you pretty convinced that it is on the supercharger system?

That Milwaukee I posted says it puts out 220ft-lbs of torque...

Convinced it's the s/c idler. Sound wasn't there before and I've only cleaned out things since I removed the timing cover to do the head gasket. I'll try to rule out the stock idlers as well. Going to mess with it some today before I leave work.

Edit: it was. I doused the lower and it shut up. Must give a little ptfe spray. I was just trying to avoid using anything but seems like I wasn't the only one living with it.

@TheFang i don't think its been answered yet and to document this.... i believe its a toyota/lexus crank (harmonic balancer) removal tool. Keeps the pulley from spinning when torquing down the bolt.

Re: crank pulley + lower supercharger pulley

Are there any seals that should be replaced when r/r'ing the crank pulley for the nst pullies? Front main seal? Timing cover seal?

@TheFang You'll also need two 8x1.25mm x 100mm length bolts. I could only find ~90mm length at the hardware stores (home depot/ace) so keep it mind if you buy that tool. 90mm won't reach the threads on the harmonic balancer.

Sidebar: i know this isn't the proper thread. I can loan my tool out but figure it's easier for you to purchase. If anyone needs, just pm me.

How tight is that bolt supposed to be? I figured I can just starter bump or impact it off, I'm wondering if 6th gear will hold it for re-torque. I have a snap-on torque wrench that goes up to 600ft-lbs

With radiator intact. Stubby impact as previously shown in previous post.

That one is non removable? It looks like a standard fuse.

Pick up a new one from Superchargers Online if you can afford to wait. They make a specific ribbed lower pulley and bearing for it.

    20210301_194722.jpg

    Wow! Talk about overkill.

Just the front main crank pulley seal if you have excess miles on the original or it's actually leaking. Don't do the timing cover unless it's actually leaking as it is full RTV silicone and not a gasket like Chevy LS/ LQ engines.

    180 - 200 ft lbs is plenty.

230 is spec. There is a holder sold on Amazon I linked here a few times but I never felt like spending the 40-50 bucks for it. I just run it on with my impact to German specs.

No rush at all. I was hoping to ask them to do a group buy for us but seems like they're behind. I'll just spray it for now if I can find my triflow aerosol.

@TheFang Rob is on the money. Fsm calls for 185 ft-lb. Btw. Nice wrench! I've been trying to find a 36-40" 3/4 wrench to service my axle nut and crank shaft. I'm jelly!

Yeah it took them all day to contact me back when I was inquiring about the pulleys, then I missed the call when they finally did, and I forgot to call them back.

Where in Cali are you? It has spent 99.99% of its life doing nothing, as I usually dont need anything torqued over 100ft-lbs. If you're close, you're welcome to borrow it.
