Hello tacos, picked up my 2018 sr5 almost a year ago and I love it. I'm interested in giving it a slight lift along with some other modifications and was wondering if anyone could hep guide me. I'm used to working on acuras and hondas, so this truck thing is a new world to me. also, a lot of the information i see online regarding lifting a tacoma are for v6 double cab models.

after some research I've come up with this plan so far:
    Bilstiens 5100 front and back
    Ome 887 springs
    1.5'' AAL
    new UCA's
    driver side spacer

aside from the suspension I do plan on getting a Hiline front bumper and eventually a rear bumper. Also 32'' tires.

I know my truck will be more sluggish then it already is but i drive slow anyway and where i live is flat, no hills. once the warranty is up i plan on having some fun turbo charging it for shits and giggles. my question is will the 887's be okay for the 2.7L as it does not weight as much as the v6? should I get the 886? I will be adding the weight of the bumper so it might bring me up to v6 weight perhaps. anyone see anything wrong with the set up I'm trying to get? and one last question, how much of a difference is it really getting an AAL versus a whole new leaf package? thanks a lot guys, cant wait to start this.

I put a full OME 2" kit on my 2017 2.7 AC manual, highly recommended. I went with the stock spring weight. If I remember correctly from my research, the 2.7 is roughly 80-100 lbs lighter than the v6 motor.
I figured after a bumper and winch. It would be about right, and it was. Performance is perfect offroad. Springs settled about 1/3 of an inch after the winch/bumper.

I run 32's, you need to get a lightweight tire, keep your tire weight under 50 lbs if you are worried about Performance.

Recently got scs rims and dropped 10 lbs per wheel, and it made a noticeable difference in highway acceleration.

Nearly 60k miles on my truck, 30k of them are with this setup, did all the work myself. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions, I may or may not have input

looks amazing, beautiful truck! we have similar taste. i am buying the same bumper but with an LED cut-out, trying to find 5 spoke wheels like that (sold out everywhere i look!), and my truck is the same color. i guess i will take the plunge and try to buy the OME 887's.

Yeah I love the scs wheels, I waited over a year before I snagged mine

If you don't do a lot of offroading, you may consider going up in spring strength, it can be a bit squishy up front in the turns on pavement
