I do, but it doesn't bother me, I'd rather put up with a slight whine, than get a bad tech that does a hack job on the rear diff. The truck is fairly noisy, so it's just part of it for me.

Mine is very slight with my 2021 and I have to really listen for it. The 2017 I had (identical setup) was way worse even though I had the TSB done on it

My 19 has it. I added sound deadening though for overall NVH and don't notice it now. Rather live with a slight whine than some tech fuck with and no guarantee it would even fix it.

Yup I gots the howl. Showed up at about 2500 miles give or take. Don't care. There is no substantive evidence that shows early diff demise due to the howl. Have 26,400+ now with no ill effects. I have changed the rear diff oil with Toyota's VERY expensive gear oil at 5000 miles. There was no metal in the oil what so ever. No pieces, chunks or even a tint of metal. Oil looked like new. I've checked it since then and no nastiness so I'm in the camp of 'so what it makes noise'.

Mine howls like crazy between 50mph-55mph. Very easy to reproduce. I had my truck at the dealer yesterday for my first 5000 mile service. I thought about bringing it up but really did not have the time to wait the extra time just to either be told its "normal" or that they could not reproduce it. I used to have a 2016 OR and I thought people were crazy when they talked about the diff howl. My 16 did not do it but this one definitely does.

    Howling diff part 2

All so far are TRDOR and they have different tires to the rest. Common denominator = tires, same as before, been down this road.

And no sooner I post this, some SR5 or sport is gonna say..I have it! I have it! Ayy….Mama mia!

Wait...Could be the air dam, TRDOR doesn't have it.

They have the locker, and If I'm not mistaken they also carry more oil capacity. Never the less the placebo effect will soon spread like the plague to all the remaining trims

Got my truck a handful of months ago with 9k miles on it, amd the howl drove me crazy since I really focus on any odd sounds. I'm a 20k miles now, and louder tires have solved the problem haha
