I have a 2009 taco DCLB TRD Sport with only a few lighting upgrades ( changed some lights to led). I started having a problem with my back-up camera coming on when I hit the brakes...anybody else experience this problem...It started when I had to drive 120 miles in a serious snow storm with lots of slush on the road...any suggestions?

Sounds like the camera is wired into the brake wire instead of the back up wire somehow.

    Welcome to the forum

I haven't had any trouble with it before I drove through the slush for an extended period of time...I live in northern maine and everything is very icy around here right now...I thought maybe slush/water got into a harness connection and froze creating a short.

I would be looking for a bad ground at the tail lights. Any time you have strange backfeeding issues, it's a bad ground.

You could try removing the back up light bulbs and see if the problem goes away. If it does, that would confirm a bad ground situation.
