Insurance generally covers tree removal and property damage. Might also cover storage of displaced items during reconstruction. Bad news is auxiliary building coverage limits, and building code upgrades. A royal pain in the ass, but take solace it was not the main house!

 

I heard they were having problems with their Falcon rocket engines. I hope they get it fixed soon.. waiting on just the right Starlink satellite.

03112021.. Yet another 60 satellites launched this morning! Saw it on Columbus OH morning news.. don't know if a news blurb is that significant, but Columbus is 39.98N lat., I'm sitting at 39.14N. As soon as they get them stationed, I'll be checking my dish pointing app!

Geisinger is probably the largest medical group around here.
Here's what's happening:

Geisinger is alerting patients about scammers that are posing as COVID vaccine schedulers.

A Geisinger representative says the scammers are reaching out to Geisinger patients by automated calls, live callers and/or text messages.

The fraudulent activity includes the scammers asking for the patient’s name, date of birth and Social Security number in order to schedule a vaccine appointment.

They say patients and the community should be aware that Geisinger will never ask for a Social Security number and if you do get a suspicious call, you should hang up and call Geisinger directly.

Cut about 50 trees over the years around my house.
When they get to big, I cut. Neighbor doesn’t. I’m in the fall line.

 

Good morning, all!! On to day 2of tree removal and deciding the way ahead with the greenhouse. And, I have a routine dental appointment this morning. Damn, this retired life is hard!!

Once we confirm then it’s either a new sending unit or a sending unit and tank.
All depends on vin range and result of tests. If they order parts for you please bring it in for repair with 1/4 tank level

 

Good Morning Folks . Went out to dinner last night with friends and didn't get to see if they launched or not.

And what beautiful country to go on sabbatical and get lost in Rob. Someday I hope to make it up that way (in the summer though).

I hate hearing about stuff like this Harry. And unfortunately people lose all their money. It's generally folks in our ge grop that get scammed the most. Best thing anyone can do is heed the advice:

Or do not answer at all if you don't recognize the number. It would be nice to have them caught and put out of business. The biggest iissue is getting the word out to EVERYONE.

Col, so sorry to hear and see the devastation of what one tree can cause. Fingers crossed your insurance a good "Other Structure" coverage line. We changed ours a few years ago as we added several out structures other than our detached garage. Hope it works out - looks like a new spring project...

There are only two trees that are close enough to the house that their tips may hit as we have pushed back a minimum of 100' for fire mitigation. Now our detached is a different situation, the garage is 30' from the property line so hopefully our new neighbors to the north will let us trim them back. I did do some canopy raising with those that are close but could not get the old owner to let us cut any trees even dead ones, we didn't ask them to do it we offered as it directly affects our garage.. The majority of our trees are all pine with some aspen mixed in so high winds can uproot them quickly.

Welcome to Hump day. Yesterday got my notice that our name came up for the vaccine. The gal asked if I had a spouse. Would she like to get the vaccine at the same time. I thought and I couldn't neglect my bride of 45 years. So we have appointment for Thursday for the Pfizer dose. We shall see how it goes. Other than that I am putting up some new black out blinds in the basement so the grand kids can sleep all day.
It has been great weather here in W Michigan. Got income tax refund back in 10 days from the federal government. That was not to bad. They sure like to pay out the cash. I feel sorry for our Grandchildren as they will have to deal with all of the debt. Anyway I will stop rambling and wish each of you a healthy, wealthy, and wise day.

Just got my 1st Covid shot. Shot was easy, in and out of CVS in under 30 minutes. That includes 15 minutes in the post shot penalty box. Scheduling was a PITA.

 

Well, got to the new dealership at 10, and was told they probably didn't have the parts, but they could inspect in and verify. I said I'd do that. Then the advisor came and said they actually do have the parts, and it would be another hour or so. And would I like the Toyota Care oil change, since I've had it a year? Well sure! Time for more nap.
