    Well I’m exhausted but...every system held and we successfully managed to keep everyone safe. Got 250 kids off the busses, into their classrooms, and back on the busses without a hitch... Things ran like clockwork. I wouldn’t call it a Rolex day but certainly a high end Seiko. I’ll take that especially when you know that you have built systems on jello and never really sure how many layers you can stack before things implode. Thanks for the good thoughts and well wishes.     glad the first day back was a success...now just do it another 100 times...
    i walk by a couple of the local schools on my daily stroll and they've all been back all year...i have noticed that they do staggered starts for different grades, designated waiting areas based on grade, staggered recess too, and they have different areas cordoned off for different grades so there's not too many kids in one spot (helps that the school is next to half a dozen softball fields), and they've installed intercoms at the main enterance so you have to ring and state your purpose to be allowed in (say a kid is late because of a dentist appt or something)
