You will be in the 12-1400 range in parts. It also would be a good idea to install a front locker while it's apart. But that's your decision. Also for labor it's about 400-500

Well the beauty of going with 4.30 is that some 96-02 4runners came factory with 4.30 gears, so i sourced a used rear Elocker diff from a 4runner and direct swapped it for my factory diff, saving myself a good chunk of money.

The front diff I pulled myself and brought to a Nitro gear dealer for them to setup, setting up ring and pinions is beyond my current knowledge level haha. The front gear set, parts and setup from Nitro was about $800, I also had them add a Harrop Elocker so the total cost for the front diff was about 2k.

If you can pull the diffs yourself and have your truck out of commision while a shop sets them up you'll save a good chunk of change.

I've got a '15 DCSB 6-speed MT, full armor, 33's, roof rack, higher cap on the bed and a bunch of other weight soon (drawer system and camping gear). I went with 4.56 gears and I know I'm slightly overgeared but with everything I've done and the possibility of pulling a small inflatable boat in the future, I did not want to worry about not going low enough. My rpms are slightly high (2700-2900) on the highway at 70mph-ish max but I'm willing to deal with that to have better driving/off-road truck.

I considered 4.30s for a short time but the difference in rpm from 4.56s was only 150-200 at 70mph. If I were to have an AT with the same loadout, etc. I would have gone with 4.88s.
