I'm considering selling my 2nd Gen 2010 and upgrading to a 3rd Gen 2021. Just curious what the experts here think my current truck is worth. Basically, it runs fine but will not lock into 4 lo (4 hi works) It's a 2010 Toyota Tacoma, Regular Cab, Manual Transmission, 2.7L w/ 204,000 miles, Full Old Man Emu 3" suspension lift, BFG M/T 265/75R16, Aftermarket skid plate under fuel tank. It certainly has a bunch of dents and scratches, but the frame is solid.

The bad: Window behind passenger seat is broken, Rear bumper is damaged and license plate lamps need replacing, Weather strip above passenger side is missing, Windshield gasket is pulled up on the bottom but does not leak, Needs a new radio antenna and CD deck, missing front bumper cover.

Sorry but I have to agree. Maybe $5k at the most. The missing front bumper and mud tires & lift limit your audience who want a trail rig. Not going into 4lo is a dealbreaker so now you're limited to mechanically savvy buyers who want a fix-me-up trail rig.

Clearly the truck has not been taken care of given the mold all over the hood. $3000 at best.

Put some elbow grease in it and detail it up. Fix those missing or broken items and you should be able to get an even swap for a 3rd gen.:anonymous:

Would you spend $1500 to gain $3-4k?

Guarantee that's what would happen if you fixed/washed/replaced some of the more obvious things.

As is your market is very limited. Someone who knows how to flip them, wants a trail only or wants a regular cab foundation for some other build is about it.

Some elbow grease and used parts and you'll double or triple your potential buyer pool, and up the price nicely.

Got it for 3k it’s a great deal compared to anything locally, probably closing in on having another 1,000 in it so far getting everything changed fluid wise and a rear window. Bought a front bumper and a winch from a friend for a deal.
