AGREE 100%. If you're spending this much cash on a truck do the minimum to protect it for the long run. I have a tacoma coming next month and already have a FF gallon, spray gun kit, and an air compressor ready. Will apply first day I get the truck. I plan on keeping this truck for a long time so I want it to last, so I got a dedicated setup for my yearly FF applications.

And I've lived in Chicago for 40 years so I know about the rust... We're talking about a mass produced Toyota pick up here. No way I'm parking it and buying another car to drive in the winter. I already have a SxS and another car that sit for winter and sled that sits over the summer. I don't need anymore shit.

I'll fluid film it, give a good wax and go on about my life. In 10 years I'll trade it in and start the cycle over.

You're kidding right? I bought my 4 wheel drive truck especially for winter driving. I've had it Krowned every year since I have had it and it has NO rust on it.... Parking it for the winter sounds like a waste of money and a waste of a good time seeing what it can do in the snow.

Sell the car and drive it

2009 with 400,000 km's on it. Driven every day, I live beside the ocean, and we salt our roads.
our primary form of "snow" is really just salty sticky slush. its nasy!.

she's had Krown every year, and the frame looks just about brand new!
when I installed my sliders in the summer ( first set, lol ), I scraped away the 10 years of krown on the frame so I'd have a clean flat mounting surface, lo and behold, I found the original factory frame sticker in perfect condition... that should tell you something

Toyota also inspected my frame and gave me the big green passing check mark, when they asked me if I wanted their undercoaring I politely declined and stuck to what had been working for so long. Goopy Greasy undercoatings every year.

do what you like, but I say make Bubbles proud and put some greasy undercoat it somehow, and giver!

Same with tires for me. $40k truck and people will buy the cheapest of the cheap to save a buck. Makes no sense. Tires are the only place your vehicle touches the ground.

You will not be able to spray fluid film out of a squeeze spray bottle. It's much too thick.

I ordered the kit and bought a gallon of Fluid Film. It's supposed to be 50 Monday.
