    Hi all,

just got the 2021 TRD OR and need to learn how to use it.
I’ve never used any kind of 4 wheel vehicles. My last two ware sports.
I’m checking google and you tube but all I can find is reviews.
The truck just has one button that I’m supposed to press when the occasion arises.
Only do light camping and the occasional trip to the beach and never really needed a 4WD. And the one time I did need one.. I managed pretty good and was driving a Volvo station wagon in the Yosemite mountains... lol. Still don’t know how I manage that one.
So any ways.. can you guys point me to a video that explains how to use it? I found One for the 2020 but that one has a button and a nob to select terrain. This one has just the one button.

    Thank you.

I suggest starting with the manual that came with the truck.

The 2020 and the 2021 are basically the same, AFAIK. Do you have a manual or automatic transmission? The manual doesn’t come with crawl control or multi-terrain select. It only has ATRAC.

I’ve been reading it. Usually do from begging to end. And only just started. The truck is only 2 days old. And is always nice to see something explained on video.

I'm going to ask a very silly question, so please forgive in advance. Does your truck have this?

4H when driving....stop & in neutral to shift to 4L....your crawl control prolly doesn't work anyhow (there's a thread for that).....find a parking lot after thoroughly reading the manual and play with it

so it looks like your truck is a off road 2wd.

2wd locker will help you go through when one of the rear wheels loose traction and all power goes only to that wheel and you get stuck. You press it and then both rear wheels will spin same so you will have traction on that only wheel that has traction or is on the floor for example.

Then it's a 2wd. The pic is the selector knob for 2H, 4H, or 4L.

Sorry to say, you don't have 4WD.

The rear locker does help turn both rear wheels in sandy or muddy situations, as described above.

Read your manual and watch this to better understand what you have and where it’s all located.

Edit: Nevermind. I had no idea 2WD ORs were even a thing.

dude....if you've got a 2021 trd or 4x4 then there is a knob right beside your start button for transfer.....and another knob and button by the overhead light for your crawl stuff....do not hesitate to go back into the dealership and ask them to show you how to use it.....

I was just wondering if there was more to it. But I guess not.

I thought all off roads were 4x4? If they sold you the truck based on it having 4wd i would talk to the dealer.

The pic in OPs profile is a Sport, no? Oh maybe that's an old truck.
