Weird that all these performance parts places even make stuff for the Tacoma. Since there's clearly no market for it and everyone is thrilled with the factory power

There are performance products that don't directly equate to the engine and/or more horsepower....you realize that, right?

Actually kinda yeah, 3M supplied the vinyl and Monstr wrapped my hood tailgate fender flares and some other touches for me. Really appreciate them for doing so!

While you’re waiting on Toyota, burn a few tanks of ethanol free gasoline.

    You’ll get some added zip...

Takes the smile off those Raptor meatheads...

IMHO Ethanol Free is well worth the premium.

Better mileage, smoother running, doesn't seem to bog as easily and the butt dyno wants to believe it's faster too.

    Again... learn something.
3rd gen Tacoma sales are over 1.2 million now.
How many do you think want more power?
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say 100K want more power. It's nowhere near that but I'm generous.
Even at 100K, that's not even 10% of the buyers! You want Toyota to change the Tacoma when 90%+ are just fine with the power?
Good luck lol and the posters above are correct... want more power? Buy a Tundra. I did.

    Tune it.

    Supercharge it.

Supercharger, CAI, headers, exhaust, performance cams, throttle body, then tune it... Or... Swap engines....

Or just tune it.... And buy a small car to go fast in.

    Negative sir.

Not sure if serious or not.

Not the case here stock or tuned. With normal driving I barely go over 3k rpms, climbs hills no problems and I’m on oversized C load tires.

    x2.

Always ran 91 E0 stock, now tuned. Never had issues with power/hesitations/rough idling etc...

I get what sounds like knock or pinging at low RPM without it.

If you want more power just get the Magnuson supercharger kit. I believe OV Tune is also working on a kit for the 3rd gens as well.

I didn’t hear any knocking/pinging on 87 E10 dealer’s fill, drove fine to me. I just hate the idea of putting ethanol in my gas tank and my Japanese vehicles always ran better/smoother on 91 E0. My truck also sits 5 days a week.

Was day and night difference in my civic, mpg and power wise.

    I don’t know, 8 grand for like 60 hp...

Can get a Full Otto cycle tune for the manuals that adds 15-20hp and tq anywhere from 125$ to 650$, depending if you get someone to flash you or you buy license/kit/tunes yourself.
