Ordered mine for my 19 TRD Pro to replace my Snug Top Hi-Liner! I was told that the channels are a bit too narrow to support Front Runner bars, and that I will need to do some trimming. The goal is to mount a roof top tent (FSR Evolution).

Instead of going with bars, I am now considering installing the tent on a rack instead of increased stability.

Can anyone here shed some light on this subject?

Listening in on this thread. Same situation: I ordered the Smart Cap and the rack for my RTT.

When is your RSI canopy arriving? Congrats! Can’t wait to get mine.

Not sure. Said on back order through end of Jan and who knows for the rack and accessories. Local outfit has a canopy in stock but I'd rather get it all in one go so I can mount the RTT.

I ended up cancelling my order after my wife lost her job. Seemed irresponsible to buy a $4k topper. Well, she found a new job right away, so I placed my order again. Looking at March for delivery. Ended up opting for the load bars rather than full rack and a side storage bin thing.

SmartCap Adventure is on the way. Looking to eventually get a GF superlite tent for the SmartCap. Any ideas on racks/bars that would support 500 lbs.

Have you though of how you’ll mount to the RSI?

I am thinking about using the load rails from rsi or the beef racks from gfc
