I had my 2009 Taco painted a couple months ago Barcelona red. I looking for a good wax for it that that will protect it from the elements (it’s outside, not garaged ) and will give it a deep shine. I’m looking for something fairly easy to apply. A friend suggested Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax. Said it goes on easy and lasts. Any other recommendations? 6DF32DA7-8F46-42E0-A7EA-3D5082CCCD71.jpg

I would recommend a sealant or a ceramic coating. For a sealant I would go with Optimum Opti-seal. Yes, it seems pricey but a little goes a long ways.

wait until at least 90 days, before wax, sealant, ceramic, is applied on new paint. the emulsions need to be fully released, and or cured, or you will trap them between the sealing agent, and the surface of the finish, causing hazing, cracking, and finish failure, that cannot be fixed without a repaint. (30+ years in the collision repair industry).

with that said, I like Griot's Garage 3 in 1 ceramic spray on sealant. Ski

I'm a fan of the Turtle Wax ceramic sealant and ceramic wax. Each a seperate bottle. Just spray on after you wash/dry your truck, then wipe off with a microfiber cloth.

Lasts for a couple months in my experience

I really like using Meguiar’s ultimate paste wax as it goes much further than the liquid. Then apply Meguiar’s ultimate spray wax every wash (every 2 weeks). Lastly I’m a fan of any 9H hardness ceramic coating if you have the time every 6 months or so

I’m sold on McGuire’s ceramic wax in a spray bottle. Wash the car, leave it wet and just spray it on, leave it for a minute and rinse it off. Sounded to good to be true, but this stuff lasts! Rain still beading up 4 months on. It may not equal paste waxing but so what. I got tired paste waxing and the labor to apply it and buff it off and still seeing uneveness. The spray on method comes out perfect, with ease. Don’t need shade either.
