Do you retain TPMS with aftermarket tires?

    May be a stupid question, but I know you guys have the answer. Does upgrading tires (slightly larger) eliminate the TPMS feature? Keeping the same OEM wheels here. I’m just talking about going from the factory size to one size up. 265/75/16... Thanks in advance!

    It certainly shouldn't. The TPMS sensor is part of the valve stem which is mounted to the wheel, you could add 40" tires and still have your TPMS working fine.

    TPMS is pressure... not volume.

    Just keep in mind that different size tires may no longer utilize the same tire pressure to be properly inflated which will inevitably cause issues with the TPMS if it is too much different.

    Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
    @SouthernFried This is true ONLY if the tire shop doesn't damage the TPMS when dismounting & mounting tires. If you were changing to steel wheels your current sensors can't be transferred.
