Mine sucks too. The TSS is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever experienced on a vehicle.

That’s funny since I wouldn’t have bought mine without TSS and I use adaptive cruise pretty much every time I drive.

My cousin recently bought another ridgeline...its used primarily by his wife. Nice plush riding awd vehicle, but imo you wouldn't want to take where i've already drove my tacoma.

How are you liking the pro 4x? Very close to making the same decision.

It’s depressing, everything is junk. I thought about a ranger or Colorado but 5 minutes on google you’ll find that’s a bad idea. Pretty sad these Tacoma’s are the benchmark.

It's funny they bitch about all the new tech and yet the Frontier has been out for 16 years with none of the new tech yet under the same breath yell from the highest tree about getting a power seat and carplay. They also under the same breath ask how come no V8 as they bitch about trucks getting bigger.

I appreciate everyone’s feedback .. think I’m going to address some of these issue with the dealer again .to see if there is a solution to some my issues with the truck. I really love the truck but the things I have going on with it annoy me at times . I didn’t notice it as much since my commute was only 20 min to work before now I’m commuting a hour a day to work . I guess worst case I’ll pick up a beater car to drive to work and drive the taco on the weekends for fun . Again thank you guys for the input .

I wouldn't even bother trying to address these issues with the dealer. I tried with some of my issues, only to be told functions as normal. Plus once the 200# gorillas start tearing into it they might make other issues. I'd trade it and move on before the bottom drops out of the Tacoma market

I hear you! Didn't realize that you overall like the truck but have a few issues that are annoying. Frankly, just make a list and pluck them off one at a time. The question is which ones can't be fixed? That is where you may run into some bigger questions, like do I keep or get rid of it?

Edit: Frankly, if I were you, and you are not going off road a ton, I would test drive the new Frontier or a Ridgeline ... just to see ... it may make you trade or it may make you appreciate the current truck even more. Just a thought.

Icon stage 3, Method NV305, 33 Ko2,Llumar IRX tint, OV performance 87 tune, Focal k2 and polyglass rears. Jl audio amp and sub. Dasaita PX6, remote X starter, bakflip cover, train horns, trd pro grill and front camera, AMP research power steps and Magnuson supercharger on order!
My truck had pretty much all the issues from #2 onwards. Lots of creaks all over but I took the time and found each one and fixed it. Simple $5 tesa tape for all the plastic contact points. ICON stage 3 suspension fixed the soft body rolling and nosedive. New front brakes and rotors fixed the braking vibs. Supercharger fixed the acceleration problem. Even my wifes 2020 Tesla Model X had a loud whistle noise coming from the driver mirror. Tesla fixed it. BTW I personally avoid driving it and rather at every opportunity drive my truck. OP most of your problems can be solved but at the end of the day life is too short to not like what you’re driving. The new Ridgeline HPD looks alot more impressive. https://youtu.be/zomPTaqNgAg

I had three previous Tacoma's of the first two Generations and the tractor reference is quite valid. This one shifts smooth like butter, is far quieter, and refined compared to them. Guess it depends on what you are used to driving, if something like a Porsche then the Tacoma would feel antiquated.

I agree with the others, get something that you enjoy driving. I'm old school and cheap...this is my other car...
1995:GS-R...my Taco is much more comfortable but this is like driving a go-kart. I rebuilt this over the last year. Every gasket and o-ring on the engine was replaced. I installed a new clutch and replaced the rear main seal too. New struts, bushings etc. etc.

    It's all relative...

Don't see many of those rolling around that nice anymore. So many have been destroyed in the Ricer trend of the late 90's early 00's

Call me crazy but when I bought my truck I knew it was a truck not a car. I wanted a truck and knew going in it wasn’t going to drive or act like a car. It does and acts exactly the way I thought it would and none of it bothers me. My truck has no real issues some small ones sure but point out any vehicle that has zero issues.

Sheesh, looks good. I've just always needed more space in the bed than in the cab...

I find when I drive my Tacoma around the city (Los Angeles) I only appreciate it when I am going over rough pavement that I’d have to slow down for in a car. Everything else it is a bit of a pain. It’s more of a pain to park in garages or on the street. The gas mileage is shit. It isn’t the best ride and the tires are noisy AF. Buuuut, every time I do something I can only do with the Tacoma, e.g. explore any of the numerous deserts and parks around Southwest, I really appreciate the truck, it’s capability and reliability. If I had more room I’d have more vehicles, but the Tacoma as something that does everything I need and is a very good and affordable package (I paid $32.5k for my truck in 2016!). I accept the truck’s flaws because I want that ability to go wherever I want and escape the city without any worries, and there isn’t anything at this price point to replace it with that I think does that better for ME.

YOU have to think about what YOU need and then decide what makes sense for YOU. Honestly, don’t even worry what other people think is best for them or what you should do. Just do you. The Tacoma may not be the best for you and what you need, so just think about that and figure out what you need, not what others need or others tell you that you need.
