So, when I replaced the needle bearing with the ECGS bushing I also replaced the CV axles (both L & R). It was wintertime and everything went in as planned. Everything has been working great since then. I've probably gone at least 5,000 miles since the replacements. Now that the weather is warming up I am getting the worst squealing sounds from the CVs. I have narrowed it down to the rubber boots on the CVs on the wheel side/outside. When at lower speeds, 20-25 mph or less, they both squeal/squeak and it's more than embarrassing. The CVs were purchased from NAPA and have a heavy duty rubber boot rather than a neoprene style. I have tried using standard silicone spray and some crazy Boeing silicone spray/lubricant but it still won't go away. Short of replacing the CVs, anyone have any suggestions?
Just to clarify, all parts are working correctly, no leaking fluids and I am 100% confident that is where the noise is coming from. Should I try lubing them with gear oil or something?
Thanks for the responses ahead of time.

I started having a similar problem this weekend. I changed my front breaks and rotors, now I am hearing a rotational squeak. It sounds like rubber, definitely not metal. When I lifted it up and spun the tire yesterday I saw that it was coming from the CV boot next to the wheel on the passenger side. I could feel it when putting my hand on the boot while rotating and it was only on one spot in the rotation. Yesterday it was pretty loud, especially at low speeds. Last night I oiled the boot a little in hopes that lubricant would help to stop the problem. Today it was much quieter, but still there. Does anyone have any ideas? Could it be the joint? Need replacement? Planning on putting more lube on tonight to see if it helps.

It eventually went away. I did not hear it this summer and it hasn't come back as the temps cool down. It's annoying, but ride it out.

Ive had the same issue, but the squeak on mine hasn't gone away for more than a month or two before returning. Its defiantly an embarrassing sound rolling around a parking lot or trailhead.

I would buy a universal boot repair kit and slide it over the outside of the boots. That might illuminate the noise due to the interference of those style boots that are used on that CV joint. Something like this for example.
