I have a stock 2018 4x4, the wheels have a 5.0 backspace and a +25 offset, how far can I deviate from that without using wheel spacers?

I’m just trying to get some nice aftermarket wheels, but I’m having a hard time finding the right offset. I’m afraid of them hitting the break calipers

Just stay with at leadt 5 inches of back spacing. Do your research before pulling the trigger on a set

Smaller backspacing will move the wheel further from the caliper. Any backspace over factory (>5") you run the risk of interference. Most is not all aftermarket wheels decrease the backspace and move the offset closer to 0 or - for a given width. Heres a good read to help you figure out what width and offset you want to run. https://www.discounttiredirect.com/learn/offset-backspace

You mean at most 5 inches.

If you look at wheel threads you will be overwhelmed with info. I have read so many I got way more info than I needed but these guys are a great resource. I think every possible combo is on here somewhere. My OR was a 25 and I ended up with a -12 offset. I think if you stay pretty much between there you will be good. That is until you start thinking about larger tires and a way you go again.

Even with enough backspace you might run into spoke-to-caliper interference on some wheels; particularly 16" wheels.
