Hello everyone. I am about to install new uca's and coilovers on a 2007 dclb. It's got 140,000 miles on it and has been a texas truck for the majority of its life. I have read about the alignment cams stripping and/or the bushing seizing up on the lower control arms. How common is this in a non-rustbelt state? I'm trying to get an idea of they're gonna be seized for sure or if this is something that just occasionally happens. Is there a way I can diagnose the issue before I install the other parts so I can do it all at once? Sorry I'm more used to solid front axles but I have had to evolve! Iappreciate it!

If you're that worried about it soak it in penetrating oil ahead of time.

Probably won't be a problem, but I don't know your truck.

hit them with some PB blaster a couple days before and they should break loose easily. I swapped LCAs at 265k and my truck is also from texas and mine came out no problem

When reinstalling, hit them with some Lucas Red N Tacky grease or some anti seize to keep them from freezing up in the future

just did mine on my california truck. Mine came out very easily and I actually kept the bolts/cams for later use because they are in such great shape (I had purchased new oem hardware).

I used a very light coating of marine grease.

They were a little dry rotted, but i was replacing the complete arms anyway so it was a non issue for me. I'd inspect them and go from there

Thanks to everyone for their replies. I'll soak and inspect! From what I was reading I thought it was more of a problem that it appears to be.
