    Good morning all,

Thanks for the pants rant, needed something to cheer up the morning. Had to rush our 9 month Golden in for surgery, All of a sudden she went into heat that went into Pyometra and then complications, almost 3 hours in surgery, hopefully we can get her home today Her brother from another mother is looking all over the house for her this morning. We were hoping to spay her when she was between 18-24 months. All the research shows Labs and Goldens do better later in life if you let them mature before fixing them, gives their organs and joints a chance to fully develop.

On a separate note, it has been about 20 years since our last huge snow storm (shut everything down storm) and they are predicting a big one for this weekend, right now the numbers seem a little extreme and it comes down to the airstream path, we could be in the bullseye and if that is the case LOOK OUT. They are not talking inches - feet for this storm

Virtual meeting with a dietician today, second Maderno shot tomorrow then stress test next week when is rains it pour's or in our case BLIZZARD - hopefully

Have a great day everyone, be safe and well

    Good morning all,
Happy birthday Rob! Are you sweet 16 and never been kissed? I needed the pants thing also. Must be a male thing. It reminds me of the song " the Streak" Ethel you get your clothes on..... You have to go on you tube and search for that song It will bring back memories. For me today just putting in another set of blinds(last one to do) and some light yard work. Clearing leaves from a water flow grate(all plugged up).Preparing for rain on frozen tundra. As always be healthy, wealthy and wise. Be safe.

    Happy Birthday, Rob!

We have some great weather this week; I spotted a visitor out of the yard. The deep freeze has pushed some birds from Mexico into Central Texas this year, so I keep spotting ones I've never seen before.

We had a flock of "yellow-breasted, black crest birds." Same size as a Red Robbin. I cannot recall the name, but they normally stay south of San Antonio.

Also, a rare sighting on a Couch Kingbird. They are usually down towards Mexico, so another stranger to our area.
    https://identify.whatbird.com/obj/834/overview/couchs_kingbird.aspx

We have some large birds of prey and Owls, but the yard is usually alive with songbirds in the morning. Just 15 minutes of enjoying breakfast and my coffee to sit and listen does wonder for one's spirit and a good start to the day.

Hope your pup is going to be okay Mike.
They are family and it really hurts when they have a problem. Went through ot with the grand dog. He is okay now and home with my son and DIL but I do miss our early morning walks.

Thanks everyone, Agnes is doing OK, just got her home with the cone of shame. She is still kind of wobbly but the vet said we got her in time. Good news

Feet, right now they are calling anywhere from 3-5 feet depending on elevation and location once the storm sets it path. That is why I said some projections are too extreme, not that it is impossible just unlikely - oh crap did I just say that - we are DOOMED....

Mike: Glad your pup is doing ok. When a family member has a problem it is never easy.

    Happy Birthday Rob.

Visit the accountant tomorrow. Taxes are completed.

I hate Amazon at times. Both LED circular bulbs are late. The 12 in was delivered late last night. The 8 in was supposed to be delivered yesterday and now it is delayed. I wonder if they are having problems retaining delivery people.

Only made it to the one for the college - start time was moved later and I had a speaking part at that one. Pretty exciting, though. A program we developed while I was still president to provide easy and inexpensive access for high school juniors and seniors to college classes at $100/credit with scholarship $$ available - with hard-working students able to complete their associates degree at the same time they graduate from high school - garnered the college recognition as one of the top innovative companies in the word by Fast Company. We placed at 9 in the Corporate Social Responsibility category along with Microsoft, Verizon, Capitol One, Logitech and several others. https://www.fastcompany.com/90600166/corporate-social-responsibility-most-innovative-companies-2021

Stoked for my team and this is just the beginning for them.
