    Edit: Came across this random video on YT and the title was "2020 Gladiator Rubicon Takes on the Tacoma TRD Pro 2020". I thought that's not even a PRO :) I don't enough about Jeeps to make a comment. Just thought I posted this (my neighbor has a similar Jeep and I hope he doesn't challenge me a to a ToW).

    Weight and traction will always win. Those towing competitions measure nothing other than traction and weight.

    Tug of war is a contest of traction. Tug of war in a parking lot tells you who has better traction in a parking lot.

    Tug of war also depends on the rope being mounted at the same height on both vehicles. If the rope is mounted higher on one vehicle, that vehicle has a huge advantage because their back wheels are being pulled down (more traction) while the other vehicle's back wheels are being pulled up (less traction).

    Tug of war also favors heavier vehicles (which is the opposite of what you want in the real world).
