2nd gen Tacoma has a rattle after throttle between 1-2 k rpms. I checked heat shield around catalytic converter. Seems to be on there just fine. I uploaded a video to YouTube with the rattle.

update: I just changed the oil. I was really low on oil. Noise went away.

When I bought my Taco four years ago, mine did the same thing. Found the heat shield with a broken bolt. Replaced it, and the noise was still there. With it running, I got under the truck and could hear the noise. Followed the exhaust towards the front and discovered an exhaust clamp broken and just hanging loose. Kind of looked like a hose clamp but on the exhaust. Pulled the broken clamp off and replaced it with a hose clamp.
